As advised on December 4 2013, the compliance date for the updated 2013 Green Book set by the VESI network operators was January 31, 2014.

The 2013 Green Book is now well established as the primary set of electrical safety rules for Victorian distribution workers and compliance should now be achieved.

Ensuring this has been done will be a goal of network operators during system audits of service providers and contractors.

As published earlier, compliance is expected to be achieved by all VESI employees having undertaken a session that will familiarise them with the changes that have occurred in the latest Green Book update.

If that has not occurred, employers are directed to ensure that it does as soon as possible using the information that has been published via a previous VESI Announcement (sent on August 22, 2013 and available at the Announcements page of www.vesi.com.au).

NOTE; if related refresher training has been undertaken, a familiarisation session may not be required.  Your training provider can advise if this is the case.
